Two million German teenagers trust in Piczo

More than half of all German teens use Social Networks on the net.
Piczo.com increases its user number by 1000% within a year

BERLIN--10-08-07--Piczo.com, the Social Network for teenagers has been growing in nearly one year from 200.000 to over 2 million users. The German version launched in January 2007, which is when growth started to accelerate. Due to Piczo's fast growth by more than 1000% Piczo becomes an attractive partner for brands with a young target group in Germany, Europe and worldwide.

This summer Piczo began to build a team in Germany, tasked with localising the service and continued the growth in members. The company has also signed an agreement with the leading media business Tomorrow Focus to sell advertising and marketing solutions for Piczo.

Online Networks, so-called Social Networks, become increasingly popular in Germany. According to a current survey of the market investigation enterprise ComScore Media Metrix 14.8 million Germans over 12 utilize these internet platforms for the purpose of exchanging information and communicating with each other. This number constitutes almost the half of German internet users.

Teenagers use the net for communication purposes in particular. According to a JIM survey 06 of the MPFS ("Medienpädagogischer Forschungsverbund Südwest") teenagers in the age between 12 and 19 spend 60% of their online time by communicating with other users. Games and search for information merely compose 17% and 23%.

Piczo.com is a sole Social Network offering a communication platform exclusively for young users. This internet site with more than 2 million German users and 28 million registered users worldwide, has distinguished itself by providing members with a rich range

of creative self expression tools and by putting those members in complete control of who connects with them online.

Chris Seth, Piczo executive director of Europe, says: "Germany is currently our fastest growing market worldwide.
